Prehistoric People of North Dakota

In 1851, the first Indian Reservation was established in North Dakota, and the first U.S. Army Post in North Dakota was constructed in 1858. This brief history will cover the period up to that time. Sites that I will link to from this domain will cover the history of the early white homesteaders, at least in a few of North Dakota's communities.
